Lallybroch, Lallybroch my home Lallybroch
Sorry couldn’t help it. That’s what comes to my mind when I hear the Fraser’s home place name.
Believe it or not my cousins and I use to listen to that crazy song Lollipop when were were kids even though I’m a child of the 60’s. Guess we heard our parents play it or something.
Anywho…back to Lallybroch
I always have to watch the episodes a few times for things to really soak in good. So I’m just gonna talk about a few scenes that I liked
I really enjoyed the opening scene of Claire & Jamie riding together while she explaining about airplanes and the such. Beautiful Scotland scenery if nothing else.
The scene between Jamie & Jenny upon his arrival to Lallybroch was priceless. Typical of siblings to think the worst of each other and jump to conclusions only to find out you were wrong, making yourself look like an idiot and in front of your wife no less.
I thought I’d die laughing when Jenny turns to Claire and says “tell that trollup to keep her neb out of my business” . Good one Jenny. For a wee lass she sure packs a punch.
The fact that the continuity crew missed this error.
The scene where Jamie ask Jenny to tell what happened between her & BJR.
He starts out with his right hand on the mantel but when the camera pulls back it’s his left hand up on the mantel, the camera switches back and it’s his right hand again. Just something I noticed. No biggie really. I did like that he was twitching his fingers like book Jamie does when he’s thinking.
Jamie remembering his father, sweet & sad at the same time. So many feels.
Jenny and Claire sizing each other up at the dinner table. Good thing Lallybroch is a big house. It’s very difficult for 2 families to live under the same roof.
Drunk Jamie — nuff said
Well of course the water wheel, who couldn’t love seeing Jamie freeze his %$@# off hehehe. Too funny and kudos to Sam for all the time he had to spend in that cold Scotland water to film that scene for us.
When Claire finally sets Jamie straight about being a butthead instead of a real the Laird of Lallybroch
Jamie & Jenny finally coming to terms with the death of their father, Brian.
And last but not least this scene although they left out quite a bit it was still a very sweet exchange of their first real “I Love You” between Jamie & Claire.
