It’s no surprise to fans that Sam Heughan who plays the handsome Scottish hero, Jamie Fraser in the hit Starz series Outlander would be inundated with requests for movie roles.
Heughan starred with Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon last summer in The Spy Who Dumped Me, so YES fans want to see him in an action film of his own and this summer we’ll get to have our chance.
Sam will take the lead role,Tom Buckingham, in SAS: Red Notice. The movie is based on the Andy McNab novel of the same name. According to IMDB some well trained criminals have hijacked the Eurostar deep beneath the English Channel. They have one too many hostages, as SAS operator Tom Buckingham (Sam Heughan) is hidden somewhere on the train and he will unleash all he has in order to save his love and the rest of the passengers from these criminals.
Co-starring with Heughan are Ruby Rose, Tom Wilkinson, Andy Serkis, and Tom Hopper.

There is no release date set yet but according to Sam’s post on Twitter it will most likely be out this fall.
